Since 1986, Amrut Gems has grown from a small family venture in Saurashtra into a globally trusted diamond manufacturer — guided by the same values that started it all.
Our Beginning
Amrut Gems was founded in 1986 by brothers Mohanbhai Chheta and Vallabhbhai Chheta, who came from the farming communities of Saurashtra, Gujarat. After several difficult years in agriculture, the brothers sought a new path and entered the diamond industry with little more than determination and a belief that hard work would create opportunity.
The early years were not easy. Initial setbacks forced them to return temporarily to farming to support their families — but their entrepreneurial spirit held firm. They gathered the courage to re-enter the diamond trade with renewed conviction, a decision that would go on to shape the company's future.
What began as a humble, bootstrapped venture has today grown into a globally respected diamond manufacturing enterprise spanning three generations of the Chheta family, with offices in Surat, Mumbai, and New York, serving customers in 15+ countries. Among the many countries' customers that we work with, these are some: the United States, China, India, Thailand, the UAE, Japan, Israel, Armenia, and Morocco.

While technology continues to transform the diamond industry, we believe our greatest strength remains our people. Many of our craftsmen have spent decades growing alongside the company, carrying forward knowledge and expertise that machines alone cannot replicate. Today, Amrut Gems employs more than 1,100 skilled professionals across its manufacturing and operational facilities.
